Josephine Huang is one of the breakout stars of Space Cadet, and we want our readers to get to know her even better!

The NYC-born, Florida-raised first generation Taiwanese-American actor has appeared in projects like WeCrashed, Billions and Pose in recent years, and the Amazon romcom is her latest big project.

The film follows Rex (Emma Roberts), who’s a party girl that luckily makes her way to NASA’s space program.

Josephine plays Miriam Osprey, one of her fellow NASA classmates, and is the stern one in the group, not into games, but slowly starts to let her guard down. As time passes, she slowly turns into a source of comedic relief for all her classmates. Throughout their journey in NASA training camp, they learn the importance of teamwork and supporting each other through the battles they face all together.

1. I’m an only child. The extroverted kind!

2. My parents were both born in Taiwan. My mom grew up in Taipei, but my dad actually grew up in Rio Di Janiero, Brazil. Maybe that’s why I love coffee so much!

3. I speak basic Mandarin, but perfect Chinglish.

4. I adore all things Disney! I grew up going to Disney World practically every single year since I was a baby. So not only do I like a good theme park day – I’ve perfected it. Give me that park map, hand over your phone, and I’ll fastrack us through every single ride by lunchtime. You’re welcome!

5. I am a fur mama to a mini goldendoodle named Keely… named after Juno Temple’s character on Ted Lasso! (one of my favorite shows!)

6. I am a fully certified Pilates and Lagree fitness instructor and have kicked butts on the reformer for a decade all over NYC.

7. I am a huge foodie, and love to cook. Traveling and eating all the things for fun is my favorite pastime. My fiancee and I took a dream trip to Japan last year – my entire itinerary revolved around the next spot we were eating at in every city!

8. I’m also a filmmaker! I love exploring the world behind the camera and have worked as a writer, producer, and director on multiple projects – my own as well as those of my creative community and collaborators. I love telling stories (especially ones highlighting AAPI experiences!) and have more in the works coming up!

9. I am a true Capricorn – and hence, the planner and social chair of my friend groups. You can always count on me to organize schedules and gather all for a good time. My Space Cadet castmates know this well – I love getting the gang together!

10. I love my reality shows – food and travel related (anything Gordon Ramsay, I am THERE), survival shows (Alone is EPIC y’all), and of course the holy grail that is Bravo TV – Vanderpump Rules being my poison of choice. I would DIE to be a guest in the clubhouse on WWHL one day!
