MAYA Jama’s split from Stormzy comes weeks after she broke down in floods of tears as she hosted Love Island.
Viewers who watched were taken by surprise as the usually composed star wept during an emotional recoupling.

Maya and Stormzy shared a joint statement today announcing they had secretly parted ways weeks ago after failing to make things work.
The Love Island presenter, 29, and rapper, 30, penned a lengthy message about their break-up.
They had last been seen together earlier this month at the F1 Grand Prix and before that, at Glastonbury in June.
A week after they attended Glastonbury festival, and days before the Grand Prix, Maya became emotionally overwhelmed on Love Island.
She cried as she watched Nicole Samuel and Ciaran Davies reunite after spending days apart, but also waiting for each other during Casa Amor.
In surprise scenes, Love Island editors played Stormzy’s song Blinded By Your Grace over the incredible moment.
The love ballad made people watching at home cry too, as Maya wiped tears and apologised.
Maya and Stormzy inisted they have remained good friends after spending 12 months trying to make it work romantically.
A source has now told the Mail: “Maya and Stormzy are very much on different pages when it comes to their future.
“Stormzy was keen to settle down and start a family whereas Maya is enjoying her career, she’s ambitious, and wants to prioritise achieving everything she possibly can.
“She also loves travelling and partying. At 29 she’s not ready for the next chapter just yet.”
Maya and Stormzy attended Wimbledon separately last week, perhaps the first real sign they were no longer together.
In their statement, they said: “It read: “We’ve been laughing whilst drafting this because we never, ever, in a million years thought we’d be the couple announcing a breakup.
“But for the sake of clarity and, more importantly, to allow us the space and grace that’s needed for us both to be able to navigate this next bit of our lives with peace, we thought it might be best to.”
Maya and Stormzy went their separate ways before in 2019.
During that break up, Maya dated basketball player Ben Simmons and ended up getting engaged to him.
