According to international media reports, FBI agents accessed Thomas Crooks’ mobile phone, whom law enforcement officials have identified as the assailant of former US President Donald Trump, on July 14.

Initial operational efforts to unlock the phone were unsuccessful, and it was subsequently sent to the technology lab in Quantico to unlock the phone and obtain its data.

Federal investigators aim to uncover Matthew Crooks’ motivations for shooting Trump with access to the 20-year-old’s phone. The case’s lead investigator stated that the FBI accessed some of Crooks’ text messages but did not contain specific details.

It should be noted that the model of Crooks’ phone has not been disclosed so far.

The FBI’s ongoing efforts to access Thomas Crooks’ phone underscore the complexity of investigating high-profile cases like the assassination attempt on a former US president.
