Live updates: RNC Day 3 kicks off ahead of Vance speech
Two days down, two to go at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
As is tradition, the vice presidential nominee will give the keynote remarks on Wednesday, giving the party — and the nation — a chance to hear Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio). Former President Trump's eldest child, Donald Trump Jr., will precede Vance, along with Usha Vance, the vice presidential nominee's wife.
Tuesday at the RNC tried, and largely succeeded, in bringing a tone of unity, with prime-time speeches from former Trump rivals Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis. Some second-day speakers managed to weave in attacks on the Democratic Party, ramped-up rhetoric from Day One's toned down directive.
