Dali, Warhol, Haring to feature at Ireland’s biggest art and sculpture event next month

Art lovers buckle up for the mother of all events

Ireland’s biggest art and sculpture event Art and Soul is set to arrive at Kildare’s K Club, from August 11 – September 8, with organisers saying that “the closest the event has been to Dublin in its twelve-year run”. Featuring €8 million worth of works by the biggest names in international and Irish art, expect the likes of Banksy, Andy Warhol Damien Hirst and loads more.

The free event will include a major outdoor exhibition of over 90 large sculptures and installations set throughout the 550-acre grounds of the prestigious estate.

A highlight of the event is the unveiling of 12 new pieces by Martin Mooney, regarded as one of Ireland’s most accomplished fine art painters, alongside catching some of the 300 sculptures on display which is the largest showcase of sculpture in Ireland to date, featuring international artists alongside leading Irish sculptors Patrick O’Reilly, Ian Pollock, Eamonn Ceannt and Bob Quinn. Get a goo inside the hotel, and catch over 100 artworks inside from the likes of Damien Hirst, Giacinto Bosco, Patrick Rubinstein, Banksy, Keith Haring, and Julian Opie.

Speaking of the upcoming event Oliver Gormley founder of Gormleys said, this “gives art lovers a unique opportunity to view these incredible works of art in the beautiful surroundings of The K Club,” adding that “adults and children will enjoy the event equally, and our previous events in Russborough, Co Wicklow, Castlemartyr resort in Cork and The Culloden Hotel in Belfast attracted over 10,000 visitors.”

Art and Soul will be open to the public daily from 11am–7pm, during the event there will be a programme of artists’ talks and daily guided tours from 12pm, 2pm and 4pm.
