City of Taylor looks at future of downtown

The City of Taylor is looking to the future of its downtown. It's the first time discussions have happened in almost a decade.

TAYLOR, Texas (KXAN) -- The City of Taylor is looking to the future of its downtown. It's the first time discussions have happened in almost a decade.

The city is hosting listening sessions over the next few months to get public feedback about plans and to see what residents might like things to look like.

While there are many stores downtown that have "for lease" signs in the window, there are also new businesses opening up, like The Little Collective Cowork and Events Space. The idea came together from an entrepreneur who needed a space to work but didn't want to drive to downtown Austin. It officially opens to the public on Thursday.

Williamson County Reporter Barrett Tryon is in Taylor and will have more on what the city is doing and how everyone can get involved tonight on KXAN News.
