New Delhi: Popular food delivery platforms Zomato and Swiggy raised their platform fees to Rs 6 per order from the earlier Rs 5 on July 15, and the next day on July 16, a customer raised an issue which he posted on X. He shared the comparative prices of the same order on the Zomato app and those at a local restaurant. The user, who goes by the handle Kannan @Kannan__TS on X shared a picture of the sum total on the app and purchasing directly from Murugan Idly shop.

According to the post, the user saved about Rs 184 when purchased directly from the outlet rather than the Zomato app.

Meanwhile, Zomato in their reply posted on X; “Hi Kannan, we can understand your concern and would like to get this checked. Could you please DM us your order ID or registered contact details?”
