Tasaki expands its Balance Collection in celebration of 70th anniversary

Japanese luxury jewellery brand Tasaki is celebrating its 70th anniversary year, with the launch of new pieces to its Balance series.

The designer Thakoon Panichgul first presented the Balance collection in 2010, with the pearls delicately aligned in a row to create a “minimal and modern” design.

Featuring five Akoya pearls arranged in a perfectly balanced straight line, the balance series overturned the traditional image of pearl jewellery and is now regarded as representing the Tasaki brand.

The new additions feature a choker necklace and bracelet (“Balance palace”), new interpretations of Balance creating a square shape by stacking pearls like building blocks with diamonds pavé (balance build) and an update on the classic icon, Balance plus.

The brand also launched a new advertising campaign with model and actor Gemma Ward. Shot by photographer Zoë Ghertner, through the campaign Tasaki showcases the “unique organic beauty of the balance collection with a fresh and captivating lens, showcasing the essence of balance when encountering unexpected perspectives”.

Tasaki said: “Zoë Gertner, known for her ability to capture the raw essence of her subject, draws in the viewer with her intimate settings featuring her muse, Gemma Ward, another perfect embodiment of the brand. Her timeless beauty, grace, and signature soulful eyes in the balance collection campaign adds a layer of sophistication and allure, reflecting the spirit of the jewellery pieces she adorns.

“Tasaki, celebrating its 70th anniversary with an unwavering commitment to high-quality materials, innovative creativity, and exceptional craftsmanship, is proud to announce the launch of its latest Balance series where the brand’s tradition seamlessly intertwines with innovation.”
