Redditor Seaworthiness565 shared the beauty deal in a post.

The over-30 beauty enthusiast explained that she initially searched for a product to clear up redness.

What she found, however, was much better than she’d expected.

“A few months ago, I started noticing some slight redness on my cheeks,” she said.

“I’ve always had a very even, olive skin tone, and I’ve never struggled with redness, so I was pretty taken aback. I figured this was skin changes happening as I’m entering my mid-30s.

“I did some research and saw a lot of recommendations for azelaic acid, so I decided to give it a whirl.”

After trying a few disappointing products, she found one that blew her expectations out of the water.

“Paula’s Choice Azelaic Acid Boost (with salicylic acid) didn’t make much of a difference. I switched to Naturium’s azelaic acid formula with niacinamide and vitamin C. And you guys… This stuff is amazing!” she said.

“My redness is 80% gone, but much more impressively, I haven’t had a single breakout since I started a month ago.

“I didn’t have a LOT of acne, but I usually have one to two pimples in circulation on my face at any given time, worst right before my period.

“I also get post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, so then that acne would leave dark marks for weeks. I always had some mix of acne and a couple of fading marks.”

“Naturium’s azelaic acid has cured all of it. No acne. No bumps. It even cleared the dark spots! This stuff is incredible. I haven’t had skin this consistently clear ever in my life.”

She explained that she layers the two products she picked up on her cheeks to relieve her redness.

“I put the Paula’s Choice on areas I used to get acne as a just in case, since it has the salicylic acid.

Naturium Azelaic Topical Acid 10% with Niacinamide & Vitamin C, $15.99, Amazon

“All of the additional ingredients in these products I already used separately. I have a vitamin C serum and niacinamide, and I used a salicylic acid wash. But I’ve never seen a result like this.”

She warned that due to the product’s strength, those with darker hair may experience a slight bleaching effect on the edges of their hairline.

“Mine is looking a little orangey; I need to get a better headband,” she said.

Others agreed that azelaic acid is a star ingredient in their skincare routines.

“Prescription grade azelaic acid is my holy grail product,” said one commenter.

“Yes! It truly changed my life and cleared all my acne,” said another.
