Man Utd ‘set to take massive loss on Aaron Wan-Bissaka as Red Devils name transfer asking price for £50m signing’
MANCHESTER UNITED have named their asking price for Aaron Wan-Bissaka – and they are set to make a huge loss on him.
The 26-year-old moved to Old Trafford from Crystal Palace on a six-year contract back in 2019.
His contract was due to expire this summer but the Red Devils triggered a 12-month extension in order to stop him leaving for free.
Full-back Wan-Bissaka cost £50m but he is now available for a fee of at least £15m as West Ham plot a swoop.
The Hammers and United are allegedly locked in talks over a potential transfer deal, according to talkSPORT.
The Croydon-born Wan-Bissaka has enjoyed an up-and-down time at Old Trafford.
Jamie Carragher described him as the “best one-on-one defender for a full-back in the world” in 2020.
However, his displays have still not earned him senior international recognition with England.
But Wan-Bissaka, who is also eligible for DR Congo, knows that more regular football would only help his Three Lions chances ahead of the World Cup in 2026.
He played in the 2023 Carabao Cup final victory over Newcastle and then impressed as United beat Man City to lift the FA Cup in May.

He has made 190 appearances for United, scoring two goals and assisting 13, but he could soon find himself in the colours of West Ham as the Red Devils look to try and balance the books.
The Red Devils completed their first summer signing by bringing in Joshua Zirkzee.
The Netherlands forward, 23, completed a £36.5million move to Old Trafford from Bologna on Sunday.
Now boss Erik ten Hag hopes that Zirkzee’s arrival is just the start of several more big additions.
The Dutchman is desperate to strengthen his defence and is known to be desperate to get Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich and has also been linked with Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah.

But they will need to continue trying to get more players off the books and Wan-Bissaka may not be the only first-team ace to depart.
Fulham have had an offer, believed to be less than the £30m West Ham bid last year, rejected by United for Scott McTominay.
The Scottish midfielder, 27, also has just 12 months left on his contract – although United have the option to extend that by a year.
