OKC seeks to revitalize Draper Boathouse and Marina

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The Oklahoma City Utilities Department is searching for a new operator to revitalize the Lake Draper Boathouse and Marina.

According to City officials, the qualified applicants will need to be responsible for various services, including boat stall rentals and concessions, as well as special events like fishing tournaments.

“We’re really looking for someone who can see the potential for what Lake Draper can be and drive additional business by hosting new events, tournaments and recreation programs,” Property Specialist for the Oklahoma City Utilities Department Tasha DeWitt said. “We also encourage the new operator to reach out to the local community to build partnerships.”

Interested parties can view the detailed request for proposal (RFP) using the City’s bidding service provider, Periscope S2G.

“This project underscores Oklahoma City’s commitment to enhancing local amenities and fostering economic growth. The successful operator will serve as a catalyst for community development, becoming a pivotal component of the city’s recreational and economic landscape.”
