J.Lo and Ben Affleck Spent Their Anniversary Apart
I am slowly coming to the realization that believing Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez can reconcile might make me a fool. I refuse to concede just yet, but today’s news is really setting me back. Today is Bennifer’s wedding anniversary, and they are spending it on separate coasts.
Lopez remains in the Hamptons, where she’s been chilling for most of July. This past weekend, she was hanging out with Affleck’s daughter Violet, so read into that what you will. Affleck, meanwhile, has stayed in Los Angeles this summer. He’s been photographed coming and going from his office a lot and was recently spotted riding his motorcycle. Work and play, good for him.
Now, back to the anniversary of it all. There is still some hope for the most delusional of us out there. Today marks the two-year anniversary of their Vegas elopement. The couple had a bigger, more wedding-y wedding a month later at Affleck’s Georgia home, a former plantation. Perhaps that is the date they consider their real anniversary? And Jen was at that Hamptons antiques show with Violet looking for the perfect gift to give her husband come August? I’m spiraling, I know.
To be fair, I might not be too far off. Last year, Lopez celebrated their August anniversary on Instagram.
She did also note their July anniversary, but used it as a way to direct people to her newsletter. I don’t think that counts as much. So, yes, these two did spend their July anniversary apart, but I won’t actually be concerned unless J.Lo is still in the Hamptons on August 20.
