UFC on ESPN 59 medical suspensions: Cody Brundage needs CT scan clearance after no contest

UFC on ESPN 59 took place Saturday at Ball Arena in Denver with 12 fights on the bill.

Atop the card, former UFC strawweight champion Rose Namajunas (13-6 MMA, 11-5 UFC) soundly defeated Tracy Cortez (11-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) via unanimous decision.

Tuesday, MMA Junkie acquired a full list of athlete medical suspensions from the Colorado Department of Regulatory of Agencies, which oversees the Colorado Combative Sports Commission.

Two main card athletes were handed indefinite suspensions and cannot return to action until they are cleared by a physician. As a result of his no contest vs. Abdul Razak Alhassan, Cody Brundage will need CT scan approval. The bout ended after Alhassan hit Brundage with elbows to the back of the head.

Additionally, Ange Loosa will need clearance for a toe laceration suffered in a loss to Gabriel Bonfim.
