OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Oklahoma City Police have arrested four people in connection to a murder at a motel in south Oklahoma City.

Alexander Ferrel and three teens face charges for the death of Isai Vera. KFOR has learned Ferrel was accused of stabbing his roommate several times hours before the murder.

On the morning of July 9, police say Ferrel and his roommate got into a fight inside of a home on NW 58th street. The argument started over complaints of too much noise and too many guests inside the home.

A police report said Ferrel grabbed a knife and stabbed his roommate several times in the neck and back. The victim ran to a nearby hospital for treatment. The victim later told police he thought Ferrel was “trying to kill” him.

In the afternoon of July 10, officers received a 9-1-1 call to the Executive Inn on south Interstate-35 Service Road.

"Police got there, found one person shot," said Sgt. Dillon Quirk, with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

According to a police report, a 17-year-old female and Vera showed up together to the motel and rented a room. A few minutes later three others, Ferrel and two teenagers, pulled up in an SUV and barged into the room in what was called an attempted robbery. Shortly after, Vera ran out of the room suffering a gunshot wound. Everyone else took off.

The victim died at the hospital.

Police were called to another crime scene later that night after a driver said she was held at gunpoint by people wearing masks, who took her vehicle. It turned out the same suspects from the murder were involved, which ultimately led to arrests.

Ferrel now faces charges for the murder and for his roommate’s stabbing.
