Ashlee Simpson Is Piecing Together an Expanded Edition of Autobiography
Ashlee Simpson is rewriting her Autobiography. The singer and actor will celebrate the 20th anniversary of her breakout debut album with an expanded edition this Friday, July 19. Of course, Simpson began hinting at the project on a Monday, and by Wednesday, she had officially broken the news. Simpson hasn’t shared what to expect from the reissue, but whatever songs she adds will be her first new solo music in over a decade, since her 2012 single “Bat for a Heart.” (Lest we forget the groovy songs she recorded with husband Evan Ross.) And Simpson’s music remains no less la-la-loved since Autobiography — just a few years ago, Demi Lovato invited her back onstage to mash up “La La” with her song “La La Land.” Could a new album be coming after Autobiography? We sure have been waiting a lot of Mondays.
