According to various reports, Gambhir, India's newly appointed head coach, engaged in a vigorous discussion with Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary, during a video call from Delhi. The main agenda of the meeting was to outline the strategy for the future besides discussing selection of the squad for Sri Lanka tour, but they were unable to reach a consensus regarding the T20I captaincy.
