'Rude and unproductive': GOP senators slammed after confronting Secret Service head at RNC

New video shared by a Tennessee Republican shows GOP lawmakers chasing down and demanding answers from the head of the Secret Service at the Republican National Convention.

The confrontation was shared Wednesday night by Sen. Marsha Blackburn with the caption, "The American people deserve answers from the Secret Service."

"This is exactly what you were doing today on the call," a voice says in the video, which appears to belong to the man recording the video. A second man yells: "Stonewalling!"

Blackburn can then be seen declaring, "This was an assassination attempt! You owe the people answers! You owe [former] President Trump answers!"

The video continues with the woman, which appears to be Kimberly Cheatle, the director of the Secret Service, being followed up the stairs by the group.

"This seems like an inside job and like they are covering it up," wrote @JessicoBowman. "Americans deserve answers! We almost lost President Trump, about half an inch away from it!"

"Kim Cheatle should be arrested. Immediately," declared @JosephPino_.

"Everything’s a performance for the cameras… of course," chided @NBABeau.

"They’re good at heckling. Governing, not so much," wrote @chrissmithnymag.

"Rude and unproductive," said @ksripley. "There is a way to go about getting info and it’s not like this. All show for the cameras."

"Performative politics at its…worst. As they are with GOP," said @palazzo214 Wednesday.
