Three arrested in Paphos on drug possession charges
Paphos police arrested three people in two drug busts, authorities announced on Thursday.
According to police, on Wednesday evening a man was stopped for a check by officers. The man, 35, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine (crystal meth).
Police said that the man admitted to being in possession of the drugs.
The man was taken into the police drug squad, Ykan, where the drugs were seized for testing.
In another instance, police stopped a car around 1am on Thursday driving near the coast in Chlorakas. The car was driven by a 22-year-old man, who had a 23-year-old man as his passenger.
Police found that the man was driving without a licence and without insurance.
Officers also conducted a narcotest on the man, which came back positive. He was charged and released.
Meanwhile, the passenger was found to be in possession of a small amount of cannabis and was arrested and taken into custody.
