Hardik Pandya’s Viral Post on ‘Difficult Journey’ Before Sri Lanka Tour- “Hard Work Doesn’t go…”

India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya reflected on his journey and body transformation from who knows hoy many days of suffering injury during the 50-over World Cup to winning the T20 World Cup this year for team India with his performance. After his T20 World Cup triumph, Pandya received a warm welcome in his home city Vadodra on Monday.

Now, taking to Instagram, Pandya reflected on his journey from 50-over World Cup to the T20 World Cup. This also included a time period filled with controversies, the time when he returned to Mumbai Indians (MI) as a captain for the IPL 2024.

In the image on the left, Pandya seems a bit out of shape following his injury. Whereas, in the right picture, Pandya looks much more ripped physically. He wrote in the caption, “Was a difficult journey after the freak 2023 Cup injury but well worth the effort with the T20 WC win. The results some as long as you put in the effort. Hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. Let’s all try our best and work on fitness.”

In the T20 World Cup, Pandya scored 144 runs in 6 innings with an average of 48.00 and a strike rate of 151.57, along with a half-century and best score of 50*. He also took 11 wickets in 8 games with an average of 17.36 and economy of 7.64.

Even after suffering injuries and facing controversies not so long ago, Hardik once again delivered when all the lights shines bright on him, playing a major role in his team’s T20 World Cup victory. It was Hardik, who secured the wicket of Heinrich Klaasen in the 177 run chase in the final. He also delivered the crucial final over in which he completely flipped the game for India, as he secured wicket of David Miller.

This tournament was redemption for Hardik, as he was booed out of almost every stadium across India during IPL 2024 after taking over the captaincy role of Mumbai Indians from 5-time IPL champion Rohit Sharma. The all-rounder also became a victim of online trolling as he was accuse of betraying the MI franchise, and his former franchise.

India ended their 11-year-long ICC trophy drought as Men In Blue secured a seven-run victory over South Africa in the final at Barbados on June 29. Virat’s master-class play helped India reach 176/7 in 20 overs, where Bumrah and Pandya choked their opponents with their pace bowling. The combined efforts from all the players made it possible for the team to snatch the match from a losing position and restrict the Proteas to 169/8 in 20 overs.
