I’m a 40-year-old mum but I still get ID’d – blokes in their 20s love me, I’m proud to have a younger boyfriend

A FORMER model has revealed she is often mistaken as being decades younger than she really is.

Jessica Jerrard’s says she has even had men as young as 25 hit on her on nights out, including her now-boyfriend, who is seven years her junior.

Jessica says the secret to her fresh-faced looks is a good skincare routine and exercise.

Though she used to regularly use lip filler, Jessica says her skin has improved since she stopped using them and started using a prescription of Tretinoin face cream.

Mum-of-two Jessica, a cyber security worker from Leeds, West Yorkshire, said: “If I’m at Tesco buying some wine or a vape I sometimes get ID’d.

“I’ve had it in the last five years – it is nice when you do.

“25 was the youngest I’ve had someone hit on me – that was a little too young!

Jessica was actually 37 at the time, but confessed she just thought it was “wrong” the bloke got her age so off.

That said, Jessica said she still doesn’t feel 40, noting that it’s not as old as she used to think it is.

As for her youthful looks, the mum said: “It does feel good but also it’s a pressure to keep it up,” she said.

As well as her skincare routine, Jessica regularly lifts weights which she also credits with helping her to maintain her youthful looks.

Jessica – who used to model for FHM and Loaded – says people often get “freaked out” when she reveals her real age.

She said: “People are often saying they can’t believe I’m 40 and they think I’m 10 or 15 years younger.

“My partner is 33 and he couldn’t believe it when I told him I was 40.

“My kids are still young so I don’t get sister comparisons but on work nights out people just assume I’m the same age as my colleagues and they get a bit freaked out when I reveal how old I am.

“I think my eldest knows I’m sort of different to a lot of the other mums at school but then saying that when I’m on the school run I don’t make much effort, I just roll out of bed.”

Jessica says she used to regularly use tanning beds and lip filler but eventually began to lose sight of it.

She said: “In the last five years or so since I’ve started having fewer fillers, I think I’ve started to look younger – which is almost the opposite reason as to why you’re getting fillers.

“When lip fillers started getting popular 15 years ago, I think it was about getting bigger lips and you want more and more but I think it just does make you look older.

“I don’t know if it’s overfilling, I’m not sure.

“I used to get my lips done nearly every month and because you’re seeing it every day it’s like an addiction and then it migrates to other areas of the face.

“It’s not what I recommend.

“I used to really be into tanning when I was younger and I was always told how bad they were but in the past five years, I’ve noticed the texture of my skin not looking as good as it used to.

Now, the mum has been investing more in skincare, but has tried all sorts of anti-ageing trends, including micro-needling and facials.

“But the thing that I do now is Tretinoin prescription cream after sending in my photos to a dertmatologist.

“It’s a cream that gets rid of pores. My friend did it and her skin is literally like glass.

“It’s made a huge difference so far in just four months.”

How to reverse ageing in just 2 weeks, according to royal go-to nutritionist

LONDON -based Gabriela Peacock, who has helped the likes of Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie prepare for their weddings.

She told Fabulous: “The science is evident that we all have the power to make simple life changing alterations to better our future selves – no matter what genetic hand we might have been dealt with.

“The reality is, we all sometimes indulge in unhealthy eating habits like processed foods, smoking cigarettes, drinking too much alcohol, inhaling city pollutants, and even drinking water from plastic bottles – none of this is good for us.

“All this does is promote the ageing process, but we all have the potential to change this.”

It may be hard, but try to keep away from sugary carbohydrates, because they feed chronic inflammation, which is one of the worst enemies of reversing ageing.

Now only will you end up putting on weight if you consume them regularly, but your energy and hormonal levels will be affected and this will influence how you look and feel.

Whatever your age or state of health, it’s never too late to reverse how quickly you are ageing and embrace the energy and vigour of a younger you.

Integrating a spectrum of colourful fruits and vegetables into your diet provides a potent source of antioxidants.

Omega-3 fatty acids, abundant in fatty fish like salmon and flaxseeds, are vital for maintaining skin elasticity and hydration.

Omega-3s act as nourishment for your skin, locking in moisture and diminishing fine lines and wrinkles.

Collagen, a structural protein dwindling with age, can be replenished through collagen-rich foods like bone broth and lean protein sources.
