Maya Jama hinted at relationship cracks with Stormzy at start of Love Island
MAYA Jama appeared to be living a single life without Stormzy weeks ago when Love Island kicked off.
Love Island host Maya, 29, today yesterday she and rapper Stormzy, 30, had split less than a year after revealing they were back together.
But her split may not come as a huge shock as Maya previously failed to mention her rapper ex in her plans for her big 30th birthday.
Speaking to Maya at the press launch of Love Island in May, the host shared her excitement about reaching the milestone age and how she would celebrate.
But the TV favourite made no mention of her man Stormzy, saying: “It’s pressure! When you’ve been doing parties every year for your birthday it kind of feels like when you’re 30 it needs to be the biggest ever.
“It makes me feel like I should do the opposite and go on a little boat ride and do some yoga.
“But I doubt it!
“I literally have not planned it yet but I do feel pressure because it’s meant to be the really big one.
“I’m excited about it, I’m not scared about turning 30.”
Maya also admitted that she and the Blinded By Your Grace hitmaker surprisingly don’t watch the ITV2 dating show together.
She shared: “I watch it every night! I wanna know what’s going on, I have to for Aftersun don’t I.
“I watch it live but on Aftersun I watch it a bit earlier so I can prepare questions.”
When asked if she and Stormzy enjoy cute date nights watching the show, she replied: “No I watch it in my dressing room as I’m working.

Ahh he’s cute with his words of encouragement.”
Maya added: “He came out during South Africa so he was so excited to see everything.”
Maya, who is currently filming the hit ITV2 dating show in Spain, posted a lengthy message about their break-up revealing they had failed to make it work – and telling fans they would remain friends.
It read: “We’ve been laughing whilst drafting this because we never, ever, in a million years thought we’d be the couple announcing a breakup, but for the sake of clarity and, more importantly, to allow us the space and grace that’s needed for us both to be able to navigate this next bit of our lives with peace, we thought it might be best to.”
In August 2023, The Sun told how Maya reunited with Stormzy, after the former lovebirds were snapped holding hands in Greece and on a date night in London back in October 2023.
Maya continued: “We decided to try for the final time in August 2023, and we’ve spent this past year trying our best to make it work; however, we recently decided to call it quits. “
The couple were last seen earlier this month at the F1 Grand Prix of Great Britain at Silverstone and Glastonbury.
Despite the couple appearing to be rock solid, there were four clues that gave away Maya and Stormzy were on the rocks.
