After an initial bid was rejected for Manchester United’s Scott McTominay, it has been reported that Fulham are considering Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as another midfield option.
Hojbjerg is expected to leave Spurs this summer
Earlier this week, The Athletic reported that Tottenham are expecting both Emerson Royal and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to depart this summer, with Djed Spence and Sergio Reguilon another pair likely to leave. Tottenham are reportedly yet to receive any offers for Hojbjerg however.
The Danish international has been at the EUROs this summer which could explain why rumours of the defensive midfielder moving on have only started to gather pace now.
Galatasaray were reported to be interested in the 28-year-old on the 16th of July after the Turkish club’s vice-president confirmed that they, like Fulham, have interest in signing either Scott McTominay or Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this summer. (The Standard)
Fulham have Hojbjerg as an option this summer
The Cottagers, who beat Tottenham twice last season, are looking to account for the recent loss of Joao Palhinha who departed South West London for Munich in a £42.3 million deal. (BBC Sport)
Sky Sports have revealed that Fulham are weighing up whether or not to return to Manchester United with a second bid for Scott McTominay after their opening offer of £17 million was rebuffed earlier in the window.
Both Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Andre of Fluminense are believed to be other options that Andre Silva’s side are monitoring this summer.

Fulham’s interest in Hojbjerg can only be seen as a positive. The club and Postecoglou are clearly keen to sell the Dane after he often proved unfitting for Ange’s system last season with his lack of progressivity and pace of play affecting many moves.
If The Cottagers have bid £17 million for McTominay there’s hope a similar fee will be offered for Hojbjerg which would probably be enough to agree a sale.
