Since hanging up his boots in 2023 at the Rossoneri Ibrahimovic, 42, swiftly joined RedBird Capital Partners to become senior advisor to the club.

The former Sweden international also reportedly pushed for the club to set up an Under 23 squad in Serie C, following in the footsteps of Juventus and Atalanta.

Now Ibrahimovic’s son has sealed a deal with AC Milan until 2027.

Maximilian is set to play in Milan’s brand new “Futuro” youth squad in the third tier of Italian football.

Last season the winger scored three goals in 19 appearances for the U18 side.

Meanwhile his father scored 93 goals and provided 34 assists in 163 appearances for the Italian giants.

And inbetween his two stints in Milan the former striker scored 53 goals in 58 appearances for United from 2016-2018.

AC Milan finished second in Serie A last season after city rivals Inter dominated the table and finished nearly 20 points ahead.

Under new head coach Paulo Fonseca, Milan are hoping to secure their first league title in three years and only their third in the last two decades.

Earlier this month Ibrahimovic announced that former Liverpool man Divock Origi had been demoted to the youth team.

This followed amid a dismal loan spell to Nottingham Forest last season which saw the striker score just one goal in 22 performances.

The 29-year-old was told he is no longer apart of the club’s plans despite signing a four-year deal with the Rossoneri back in 2022.

Origi’s debut campaign in Serie A was cursed by injuries and he was limited to just ten starts, with former boss Stefano Pioli opting for the likes of Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao.
