KATIE Price has revealed she tried to end her life in a toilet after feeling ‘really horrifically bad’.
The former glamour model, 46, told a crowd at her latest book launch that she attempted to commit suicide in 2018.
During the event at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern in London, Katie bravely recalled the painful moment while speaking on stage.
According to the Daily Star, she said: “I was in my toilet. I didn’t want to be here. No one knew, I was on my own.”
Explaining how she fell unconscious before waking up to find her phone was in the toilet, she added: “I was like, ‘What the f***? I need to get help.’ I survived.
“I was really bad. Nobody knew. I was bad, really horrifically bad.
“I didn’t know who to talk to. I was like: ‘If I say something, no one will want to work with me because they’ll think I’m losing the plot,’ but inside I was like: ‘I need help.’
“That’s when things get worse and worse and worse.”
Thankfully, the mum-of-five sought help from a therapist who she now sees regularly to stay on track.
She said: “I’ve got good support. The key to it is communication.
“Anyone out there, if you ever get in that moment where you put on a face but inside you’re like: ‘I can’t do this,’ you need to tell someone.”
The book, titled This Is Me, was released today – with Katie revealing the first details to The Sun earlier this month.
Katie told us: “There’s actually a warning at the beginning of the book that you could get PTSD from reading it, because it’s quite a serious book.”
She went on to further add that writing down her traumatic moments on paper had helped her to deal with some of the scary situations she had found herself in.
Katie added: “I’m just glad I’ve got the past behind me.
“This year will be my year and then it’s gone from there.
“You’ll see in the book, I’ve had lots of changes in my life. And I don’t know when you’re positive, everything else just comes with it.
“People now see really what I’ve been through and hopefully they will realise I am a human being, not a product and I do have feelings.”
Katie has previously admitted she has suffered from PTSD herself amid her new book’s warning.
Katie was originally diagnosed with co-morbid post-traumatic stress disorder in 2018 and entered The Priory for 28 days to treat it.
At the time her mother Amy said: “Kate has been her own worst enemy and behaved like an idiot at times but she has been tearing herself apart for years.”
Amy, who has a terminal lung condition, also heaped blame on her daughter’s critics on social media.
She added: “To see what Katie is going through and how she has been treated hurts me and my family.
“No mum or dad wants to see their child treated like this, watch as they crumble, and feel powerless to help. It’s unbearable.
“She is constantly judged on her kids, her home, work, financial situation, the way she looks, how she dresses and what she does.
