Get to Know Each Member of J-Pop Boy Band Travis Japan With These 10 Fun Facts!

Travis Japan are one of the most exciting acts in J-Pop and beyond, and we want Just Jared readers to get a chance to know them even better!

The boy band – made up of members Chaka, Umi, Shime, Noel, Shizu, Genta and Machu – hails from Japan, and previously made waves on World of Dance and America’s Got Talent.

Originally brought together as children in 2012, the group has a united mission “to deliver Japan to the world.”

Right after announcing their Travis Japan World Tour 2024 ‘Road To A’ (click here for all ticket info!), the band just returned with an addictive new song, “Sweetest Tune,” which is also featured in popular Japanese TV drama Tokyo Tower, which stars the group’s own Genta.

“The song will let you know a new side of Travis Japan. It is a pop tune giving of a feeling of maturity. The choreo to this song is both technical and catchy, with a music video based on a comic storyline that includes some shared house-like scenes in addition to dance. We hope it will introduce you to a new side of Travis Japan!” they said in a statement.

This summer, the band will appear in the upcoming sixth season of the Netflix docuseries Ride On Time, giving an inside look into the group’s world and the J-Pop universe as a whole. Their episodes will air on July 2 and July 9!
