Busted: RNC speaker listed as 'everyday American' is a multibillionaire
The Republican National Convention is trying to pass off a billionaire as an "everyday American," their Thursday schedule reads.
RealClear Politics reporter Philip Melanchthon Wegmann posted the Thursday schedule to the social media site X, where he singled out RNC speaker Diane Hendricks as worthy of note.
It lists Hendricks as an "everyday American," when, in fact, she's the richest person in the state of Wisconsin, with $20 billion in the bank.
CNBC says of Hendricks that she made her money largely from starting a
"ABC Supply brought in $20.4 billion in revenue last year and has more than 900 branch locations," CNBC said, citing Forbes data.

She had been a supporter of Donald Trump and forked over $1 million to his 2020 reelection campaign, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
However, she turned to support Nikki Haley, drawing the ire of Trump.
Bloomberg reported in January that Hendricks was almost cut off from Trump's inner circle of donors.
"He is threatening to cut off other donors who give to his sole remaining opponent, Nikki Haley, who has little chance of winning the Republican presidential nomination after the former president and 2024 GOP frontrunner handily won contests in Iowa and New Hampshire," the report said.
“When I ran for Office and won, I noticed that the losing Candidate’s ‘Donors’ would immediately come to me, and want to ‘help out.’ This is standard in Politics, but no longer with me. Anybody that makes a ‘Contribution’ to Birdbrain, from this moment forth, will be permanently barred from the MAGA camp. We don’t want them,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, attacking Haley as a "Birdbrain."
