However, people have been left divided on the issue, with some suggesting that the mum should report the staff, and others stating that they haven’t done anything wrong.

She said: ” In the pub I saw two nursery nurses from my child’s daycare having lunch and they each had a glass of wine.
“There were also two empty glasses on the table but they could possibly have been from previous customers.”
She continued: “I wasn’t happy but my sister says it’s their lunchtime and they don’t get paid for it.
“She added that two glasses won’t make any difference.”
The woman said the the nursery staff members spotted her and looked “sheepish”.
However, this meant that she wouldn’t be able to report them anonmymously.
She added: “I’m scared that if I say something they will treat my child differently.
“Am I being over the top thinking they shouldn’t drink while caring for kids?”
The post was flooded with responses from other mums, and opinions were divided.
Some thought the the nursery staff’s actions were wrong, such as one person who said: “I wouldn’t be happy and yes I’d report them.
“Two large glasses puts them over the drink-drive limit.”
Another person said: “This is completely inappropriate and I would report it.

“If someone is careless enough to break the law on their lunch break, I wouldn’t want them looking after my children.”
A third person said: “They should absolutely not be drinking any alcohol when they will be caring for children after.
“That’s outrageous and I would report them immediately.”
However, others claimed that the staff members hadn’t done anything wrong.
One person said: “What’s wrong with the nursery workers having a drink with their pub lunch?
“Nothing at all as long as they aren’t intoxicated.”
A second person said: “Drinking one glass of wine is fine.
“It’s their unpaid lunch break, as long as they are able do their job when they get back to work, where is the problem?”
