But if you’re looking for a beautiful new home for your plants that won’t break the bank, then we’ve done the hard work for you.

Here are seven cracking outdoor planters that will look amazing in a garden, on a patio or even squeezed on to a balcony.

And you’ll get plenty of change from a twenty pound note.

Grow on, treat yourself…

Crackle effect planters, £5 each, B&M

B&M
These might look like ceramic, but they’re actually plastic![/caption]

B&M have some great outdoor homeware this summer – and these planters are no exception.

They come in both blue and green, and while they look ceramic, they’re actually super-light and super-inexpensive.

An absolute win both your purse and your back!

ÄPPELROS planter, £4, Ikea

Ikea
Pop a packet of seeds in and this could make a gorgeous gift[/caption]

Perfect as a herb planter – this will look great on your windowsill, but equally pretty as an outdoor table centrepiece filled with lavender.

Ikea sells outdoor plant pots from as little as £1.50, so if you’re after something more colourful, it’s well worth having a look!

Face planter, £12.99, The Range

The Range
We’d be tempted to scribble a chalky smile on this fella…[/caption]

OK, so your garden guests may not be fooled into thinking this is actually a stone planter.

But, thanks to its fab design, that doesn’t matter!

It’s got an anti-freeze and an anti-UV finish and it’ll not look out of place in any style of garden.

Milk churn planter, £9.99, Robertdyas.co.uk

Robert Dyas
Your neighbours will be green with envy when they spot this on your doorstep[/caption]

Pop this cute find by your front door and plant a gorgeous white geranium inside for country house vibes

But if you are going to use it outside, we would recommend drilling some holes in the bottom first

Or, you could just use it as a flower jug on your coffee table.

Scalloped Wall Planter, £5, Dunelm

Dunelm
This gem is actually in the Dunelem clearance – so snap it up quick![/caption]

A gorgeous coral colour, this pretty planter will brighten up any outside wall.

Plus, the scallop trend is still going strong and will remain hot news for A/W24.

We’d recommend buying three and hanging along your fence.

Firefly Hexagonal Wall Planter Solar Light, £5.99, Home Bargains

Home Bargains
A pair of these will brighten up any wall, day and night[/caption]

This is a piece of wall art, a solar light (that automatically turns on at dusk) and a planter all-in-one – clever, right?

Almost as clever as the price tag.

Run, don’t walk to Home Bargains, because these won’t be around for long…

Planter, £9.37, Søstrene Grene

This planter looks way more expensive than it is[/caption]

A ceramic plant pot for under a tenner? What’s not to love?

Even better, this comes in a gorgeous forest green shade.

While you’re falling down the rabbit hole and scrolling through Søstrene Grene’s lovely buys, they also stock a nifty little Polish brand called Prosperplast which has some lovely contemporary designs and are well worth checking out.

But do note that the Propserplast pots aren’t fans of frost, which is why this ceramic buy gets our vote this time.
