DNC attacks Trump through billboards in Milwaukee ahead of speech

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) launched billboards around Milwaukee for the last day of the Republican National Convention (RNC), ahead of former President Trump’s highly anticipated speech to accept the GOP nomination.

In a statement first provided to The Hill, the DNC said it placed billboards around the city and is having a mobile one circle the perimeter of the convention site, bashing Trump over his plans for a second term.

The billboards hit Trump over Project 2025, the conservative Heritage Foundation’s plan for the next GOP presidency that Trump has attempted to distance himself from. And it bashes him over taxes, health care, Social Security and democracy, noting that Trump said he would be a dictator on “day one.”

The billboards also attack Trump over abortion, claiming he will sign a national ban, although the former president has said that abortion laws should be left to the states in the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.

“Trump’s Project 2025 agenda is a dark vision for America and voters deserve to know the full truth: it’s a scam for all but the one percent and would terminate the ACA [Affordable Care Act] and gut Social Security, eliminating protections for millions of Americans with preexisting conditions and ripping the retirement security millions our seniors have earned,” DNC spokesperson Abhi Rahman said in a statement.

“The DNC will continue to blanket the airwaves, streets, and skies with the truth, because Donald Trump is sure to keep lying and American families need to know the truth,” Rahman added.

The DNC has also been criticizing Trump’s vice president pick, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), over his previous statements on abortion.

Vance gave a boisterous speech to officially accept the nominate to be on the GOP ticket on Wednesday night.
