Four taken into custody following West Burnside shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Four people were taken into custody Thursday morning following a shooting in Downtown Portland, authorities said.

According to Portland police, officers responded to West Burnside Street just before 2:20 a.m. where they found a victim with a gunshot wound.

The victim was treated at the scene and then taken to a nearby hospital, officials said.

Later in the morning, authorities said they found a suspect vehicle near Northeast 41st Avenue and Northeast Halsey Street and four people were taken into custody.

One of the people was later released, but police said the three others remained in custody for questioning.

The incident remains under investigation.
