FORDHAM HEIGHTS, The Bronx (PIX11) -- A person was struck by a subway train in the Bronx Thursday morning, according to the MTA.

The incident occurred around 8:52 a.m. near Fordham Road, according to the NYPD.

Police say a male was located with head trauma and was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition. No criminality is suspected, according to the NYPD.

B train service is suspended in both directions and the D trains are running with delays.

Passengers are encouraged to take the 1 trains in Upper Manhattan, F and M trains in Midtown and Lower Manhattan, and Q trains in Brooklyn.

The B trains are no longer departing from Bedford Park Boulevard to Brighton Beach.
