Followers Rally Around Lindsay Hubbard After Trolls Question a Pregnant Person’s Right to Party

It hasn’t even been a month since Summer House star Lindsay Hubbard announced her pregnancy and she’s already getting shamed by so many internet trolls. We wish we could say we were shocked, but honestly, that seems to be par for the course at this point. Mom shamers are always out here working overtime.

Hubbard, who is expecting her first child with her unnamed boyfriend, posted a gorgeous bumpdate that should have gotten nothing but love. “The bump was bumpin.. cub was CUBBIN!????????????,” the TV personality captioned the mirror selfie of her rocking an airy and ruffly white crop top and maxi-skirt set. She’s showing off her bare and growing baby bump, and the location is set to “The Hamptons.”

AKA where Summer House — the Bravo show that follows friends who spend their summer weekends in a house in the Hamptons — is filmed. And people are clutching their pearls over the fact that Hubbard was there.

“Respectfully, not sure why you would go back into a party house? You’re in a different era, sister,” one person said, prompting Hubbard to sarcastically ask, “Can you not party when you’re pregnant?”

And we were thinking the exact same thing. How did we miss the memo?

“Pregnant people can still party, they are not dead ffs,” one fan commented, backing Hubbard up.

“Shouldn’t be [at] summer house,” one person named Toni said. “Doesn’t make sense with all the crazy partying.” To which Hubbard immediately clapped back saying, “Toni.. my guy… at your age, it ‘doesn’t make sense’ for you to be commenting on younger girl’s profiles.”

And on it went. “Nobody wants to see a pregnant girl partying,” one person said and followers deemed it the “most ignorant comment.”

And on it went. While trolls kept coming after Hubbard for daring to have a good time while pregnant, followers quickly jumped to her defense, pointing out the very, very obvious fact that pregnant people can and should still hang out with friends, lounge by the pool, and have a good time.

“WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?!?” one fan asked. “I have never seen so many people wondering how a pregnant woman could possibly still go on a weekend getaway with her friends whilst baking a Bebe. Is she supposed to be at home this whole time? Barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen? If she feels great with energy during her pregnancy holy moly go have fun with ya frands. What year is this?!?”

And let’s not forget, this is Hubbard’s job! So she isn’t just doing this for sh*ts and giggles or, as one person said, “one last hurrah” before the baby comes. She’s also doing it for her paycheck.

Speaking of … people also had their panties in a twist following Hubbard’s pregnancy announcement because she did it via two sponsored posts with Clear Blue (HERE and HERE). While most fans were incredibly congratulatory, others couldn’t help but sprinkle in the negativity, calling the posts a shameful money grab.

“My problem here is….she had to have reached out to these pregnancy test companies to see if they would give her a brand deal … THEN, she told the world…and that right there gives me the ick. Not only profiting off her pregnancy but going to the companies and ASKING for a paid sponsorship. That is low AF and so desperate,” one person commented.

Another responded, “babies are expensive! I say git that coin Linds!!”

At this point, we have to assume that Hubbard is not only getting “that coin,” but that thick skin all moms have to develop at some point or another because the mom-shaming trolls will always appear.
