Justin Long Shared a TMI Memory With Wife Kate Bosworth & It Proves Their Unbreakable Bond
When Justin Long and Kate Bosworth tied the knot back in May 2023, the two made a series of promises. Among them, of course, is that they’d be there for each other “in sickness and in health.” And, in a recent story from Long, Bosworth did just that.
Talking to the PIE with Kurt Sutter and Katey Sagal podcast, the Barbarian star remembered an especially excruciating case of food poisoning during a trip of theirs to Mexico.
“I was hooked up to an IV, and she was having to follow me to the bathroom with the thing,” Long said, per Page Six. “It was like Dumb and Dumber. I was just, like, really comically unloading.”
But while he needed some assistance during the day, things only worsened overnight. “At one point that night, I woke up, and — there’s no other way to say this, I can’t dance around it — I had s– the bed,” he admitted. “I had s– the bed, and she was in the bed.”
After waking her up, however, Bosworth didn’t panic and ended up being more supportive than Long even expected. “She was not judging, not making me feel weird, or bad, and I just felt so lucky, you know?” he said. “I was s— my brains out, and she was looking at me lovingly, and I thought, ‘This is really romantic.'”
“I thought about how much I loved her,” he continued. “I was like, ‘I just love this person, I’m so grateful to this person.’”
“I could count on one hand how many times she’s had a judgmental approach to something that I was doing,” he added.
After clearing up some of the mess, Long said he went right back to bed to get some rest. “And she looked at me and she said, ‘What are you doing?’” he remembered. “I said, ‘I’m just getting back in bed. And she said, ‘Don’t do that. Go on my side.’” Talk about a romantic gesture!
And sure, this isn’t the most romantic story we’ve heard from a celebrity couple, but it might be one of the most real ones ever. Sleeping on your partner’s dirty sheets? That’s love right there.
