Suki Waterhouse Says She Didn't Prepare Much Before Welcoming Baby With Robert Pattinson

Suki Waterhouse is opening up about being a new mom.

The 32-year-old actress and singer appeared on The Run-Through with Vogue podcast and spoke about her recent magazine cover, which featured her baby daughter, whom she welcomed with fiancé Robert Pattinson in March.

During the conversation, she spoke about how she performed at Coachella very soon after giving birth to her daughter.

“I got offered Coachella a long time before I got pregnant. And then when I found out I got pregnant, I remember counting up the months, and I was like, ‘Oh no. Oh no,’” she said.

“I was in denial, basically. Oh my god. As it got closer to the end of being pregnant, I sort of just like, rallied my whole team and it was actually such a testament to having such great people around me because we just did so much prep before. We really worked so hard so all I had to do was basically get out of my house for one of the first times, get into the car with the baby, go drive to the desert, which is just a couple of hours away.”

She added that she had the “most lovely day” since her call time wasn’t until 10:30 p.m., so she was able to spend the day with her daughter and then left around 8 p.m. to perform.

“It was a wild thing to do, and I definitely wasn’t at peak lung capacity,” she reflected.

As for parenting with Robert, she said: “We were both actually just like, let’s just be surprised. Let’s just see what it’s like, and let’s be surprised by the whole thing. But those first two weeks were absolutely insane. You spend so much time just imagining what it’s gonna be like. And I think for me, it just felt like this transition.”

“It just feels like this new season that you’re stepping into where the biggest thing for me has actually been looking around me and also it’s incredibly healing when you look to your own mom. And just have this whole other level of understanding, really, truly,” she continued.

Suki says she plans to bring her daughter with her on her upcoming tour.

“At the moment, I’m sort of imagining the tour bus and trying to put together like, oh, where’s the crib gonna go? Like, how’s that gonna be secure? There’s a lot of time in the day on tour, before you know, there’s a lot of waiting around. There’s a lot of just being on the bus and just sort of having nothing to do, basically. It will probably be intensely bonding in a way, I imagine,” she said.

She also discussed famous exes and an isolating time period in her life.
