2024 Emmys: Best Comedy Guest Actor episode submissions for all 6 nominees

Who will win the 2024 Emmy Award for Best Comedy Guest Actor? This year’s six nominees are Jon Bernthal (“The Bear”), Matthew Broderick (“Only Murders in the Building”), Ryan Gosling (“Saturday Night Live”), Christopher Lloyd (“Hacks”), Bob Odenkirk (“The Bear”) and Will Poulter (“The Bear”). Below, see the nominees’ all-important episode submissions and descriptions from the TV academy’s nominating ballot that the voters will be watching as examples of their best work from the season.

Nominations for the 2024 Emmys were unveiled on Wednesday, July 17 and the winners will be announced on September 7 and 8 (Creative Arts ceremonies) and September 15 (Primetime ceremony). As a reminder, last year’s winner in this category was Sam Richardson (“Ted Lasso”) for the episode “International Break.”

Episode: “Fishes”

Christopher Lloyd as Larry Arbuckle on “Hacks”
Episode: “The Deborah Vance Christmas Spectacular”

Bob Odenkirk as Uncle Lee on “The Bear”

Ballot description: Uncle Lee continuously antagonizes Mikey at a family Christmas dinner. He criticizes Mikey’s reliance on family money and lack of achievements. Tensions escalate when Mikey throws forks at Lee, leading to a fight.

Will Poulter as Luca on “The Bear”
Episode: “Honeydew”
Ballot description: Luca trains Marcus at NOMA in Copenhagen. He evolves from a mentor to a supportive friend of Marcus’. Their professional relationship deepens into friendship through a shared dedication of baking and exchanging personal experiences.
