Beer and music come to the stage
Beer lovers rejoice! The 6th edition of MedFest – Limassol Beer Festival is about to begin. And it is not just beer enthusiasts that the festival will gather through its five days but also music fans and foodies as it offers also a line-up of performances and an array of food options.
Bigger and more impressive than its previous editions, this year is set to impress festival-goers as it unfolds from July 23 to July 27 at the parking of My Mall Limassol. Thirty five kiosks of imported and local beers and food stalls will fill the venue. Of course, a highlight of the festival each summer (apart from the wide variety of beer options) are the music performances and the artists have recently been announced.
Musicians from Cyprus and Greece will step onto the stage to perform pop, folk, reggae and rock music. Opening the festival on July 23 is Stelios Rokkos who will greet audiences at 10pm and perform for two hours. Almost every night, DJ Nikos Varvaresos will entertain visitors from around 9pm.
On the second evening, Rack/Sidarta will perform at 10pm while on day three Vasilis Kazoulis, Lakis Papadopoulos, Giannis Giokarinis and Demetris Hadjidemetriou will sing live. On the third night, Giorgos Kakosaios and Markella Hadjimitsi will perform while on the last day of the festival a popular band from Greece will do a live show. Reggae band Locomondo will travel to the island again for another summery performance, this time at the beer festival.
