‘He’s writing the script’ say Love Island fans as they’re convinced Joey is a producer plant after he drops bombshell
LOVE Island fans have slammed Joey Essex as a “producer plant” as he cruelly revealed Mimii’s “secret mission” to the whole group.
The TOWIE star’s confession sent shockwaves around the villa – and leave his ITV2 rival in a very sticky situation indeed.
In last night’s episode, the Islanders took part in the Couples Goals challenge.
Sean Stone and partner Matilda Draper were appointed judges – with the game seeing the Love Island stars air their views on a series of topics and personalities.
Yet when asked which couple are the most likely to have their heads turned, Joey whispered to the group: “I know something no one knows here.”
Those at home know the Essex lad is referring to the fact Mimii, 24, headed to the terrace for a secret rendezvous with Ayo Odukoya, also 24 – asking Joey to help her get the footballer to come to the terrace.
At the time, she clambered on the floor of the iconic kissing spot so as to avoid being detected.
Mimii was forced to come clean during the game after Joey dropped the bombshell but refused to elaborate.
Josh then slammed Joey for embarrassing Mimii in front of everyone when she had come to him in confidence.
Joey said he was being loyal to Mimii by not saying exactly what happened, which led Josh to insist he was contradicting himself because he had disrespected her in front of the group.
Joey said: “I had loyalty to Mimii and still do.
“Hence the reason I’m not telling you exactly word for word and in detail what actually happened.”
But fans were left furious by Joey stirring up trouble for no reason – with some left suspicious of the reality star.
One wrote: “Nah you cannot tell me Joey isn’t part of the production team.”
A second said: “If anyone is on a secret mission it’s joey, that’s a producer plant if I ever seen one.”
“How is it not so evident that joey is a producers plant can people stop voting him,” a third said.
A fourth commented: “Producer plants have never even lasted this long, Joey has almost made the finals… wrap it up!”
Someone else said: “Joey is carrying this show on his back. I’m sorry but the way he manages to draw out emotions out of everyone is unmatched! Producer plant doing his job well.”
Another added: “Sitting on the floor seductively is CRAZYYY omg Joey????? Mr producer plant has gone wild.”
