Man arrested after stealing 110 electric scooters

Police in Limassol on Thursday night arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of having stolen a total of 110 electric scooters.

They had visited a house in the city which is due to be demolished after being informed that the man was living there illegally.

Upon their arrival they found two electric bicycles and 110 electric scooters, for which the man could not offer a sufficient explanation for how they came into his possession.

As a result, he was arrested.

Of the 110 electric scooters, it was found that 85 are in an “inoperable” condition.
