Watch Rio Ferdinand’s surprise message to Leny Yoro as Man Utd fans say ‘this is so beautiful’
RIO FERDINAND sent a touching personal video message to Manchester United newboy Leny Yoro.
The Red Devils beat Real Madrid to the centre-back’s signature after Yoro put pen to paper on a five-year-deal.
The move is worth around £144,000-a-week after United had a £52million offer accepted by Lille.
Yoro is set to wear Nemanja Vidic’s legendary number 15 jersey after completing his move to Old Trafford.
But it was Vidic’s old partner Ferdinand who was called on to help get the transfer over the line.
Ferdinand, 45, sent a video message to Yoro after his signing was confirmed, which the youngster loved.
Ferdinand filmed himself saying: “Leny! Leny! Leny! How are you doing bro? Listen, congratulations. Welcome to Manchester United, man.
“I wish you all the best. I know you’re going to work hard – and that’s the secret, man: work hard, work hard, work, work, work on all the parts of your game.
“You’ve got all the potential, you’ve got all the tools, man. You’ve got everything there ready to rock and roll and make a big impact at this club.
“It’s the best club in the world, it’s a beautiful place to be, go and enjoy yourself man. I’ll see you soon, good luck! Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go! Leny! Leny! Leny!”

Ferdinand loves Yoro’s game and has compared him to Arsenal‘s William Saliba.
“If you’re looking Leny Yoro, please accept and come to Man United, please,” Ferdinand said on his Vibe with Five podcast.
“Man United, please, make the offer and please accept because this kid, I think his ceiling is as high as anybody right now, including Saliba.”
And United fans were left thrilled with the heartfelt message from their former defender.
One fan account wrote: “THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL!”
While another said: “Rio you absolute legend. Can’t wait to see this kid play!”
A third added: “Rio ‘The Secret Agent’ Ferdinand.”
Yoro was promised he would be able to continue his development with regular game time at Old Trafford.
The 18-year-old revealed his delight at completing the transfer, saying: “Signing for a club with the stature and ambition of Manchester United so early in my career is an incredible honour.
“Since my first conversations with the club, they set out a clear plan for how I can develop in Manchester as part of this exciting project, and showed a lot of care for me and my family.”
