Popular Nintendo series is making a comeback a decade after the last release and it has a new name

ALMOST a decade after the last game in the series was released, one of Nintendo’s most popular series is making a comeback.

While many people believed the series would be discontinued with the 3DS, fans’ wish for its return is now coming true.

Chibi-Robo was first released in 2005 for the Nintendo GameCube, and saw five games released over the next decade.

You play as Chibi-Robo, a tiny robot about the size of a mouse, which both helps the people in the house and causes mischief.

The puzzle-solving action-adventure game was hugely popular, but fans found the last entry to be underwhelming.

Five developers from the original series have since moved on, and are working at a new studio, Tiny Wonder Studio.

The developer has just announced a spiritual successor to Chibi-Robo called koROBO, which means ‘small robot’.

A trailer that has been released for the upcoming game shows off the new tiny robot character, which bears a striking similarity to our chibi friend.

Gameplay also strongly resembles Chibi-Robo, as you roam your family’s house completing tasks.

Development is already well underway, and it is planned to be released on PC and ‘modern’ consoles.

However, as there is no release date, it’s unclear which consoles these will be.

Tiny Wonder Studio is launching a Kickstarter campaign to help with game development costs.

The campaign starts on July 22, 2024, and will be available for a month.

Those interested in playing a Chibi-Robo successor should check it out for more details once it’s live.
