Bangladesh Institute of Architects announces launch of first international chapter in Canada

The Institute of Architects, Bangladesh (IAB) has announced its landmark expansion into Canada with the establishment of its first-ever international chapter in Canada.

This occasion marks a milestone in the organization’s history, showcasing its commitment to global collaboration and excellence in architectural innovation.

The event, held on June 1, 2024, in Toronto, brought together guest speakers, presenters, architects, and industry partners from Bangladesh and Canada.

With Bangladesh and Canada sharing a common vision for architectural excellence, this collaboration opens new avenues for creative exchange and mutual learning between professionals in both countries.

For the event, the Chapter was pleased to receive greetings from patrons such as Settimo Vilardi, president of OAA (Ontario Association of Architects), and video messages from Dr. Khandakar Shabbir Ahmed, president of IAB (Institute of Architects, Bangladesh) and renowned architect Marina Tabassum from Bangladesh.

Along with the discussions and presentations, the event provided a platform for fostering collaborations and partnerships between architects, industry professionals, and academic institutions.
