My speedy mom hack keeps our kiddie pool clean all summer – it also stops my youngest from drinking the water
A MOM of two has been praised by other parents for sharing a hack that keeps kiddie pools clean throughout summer.
She said the quick trick also keeps her youngest child from sipping on the pool water.
Anna Viktori (@anna.viktori) is steadily gaining a following on TikTok, where she shares tips and tricks.
NO SPLASHING
She went viral on the social media app when she shared a method for keeping her children’s pool clean.
In the five-second clip, she showed the blue kiddie pool filled with water as she stood alongside it holding a fitted bedsheet.
She carefully bent down to place the sheet and tucked the ends underneath the bottom of the pool to keep it in place.
The pool seemed to be completely covered to prevent random leaves and junk from falling into the water.
Speaking to The U.S. Sun, Anna revealed she’s been using the little-known method for two years.
“I once saw it from some blogger and decided to do the same,” she said.
“I realized how convenient it is.”
She said living in Texas, the wind often blows “all sorts of debris” into the kiddie pool
“Since the pool is small, I change the water every two to three days, regardless of whether there is a lot of garbage in it or not,” she said.
“I have two small children and the youngest now drinks from everything she sees, and the pool is no exception.”
ROLE MODEL
TikTokers loved Anna’s video and confessed that they had never thought of covering their kid’s pool with a bed sheet.
Parents said they were eager to try the idea for themselves.
“Oh my, I wish I knew this sooner, brilliant,” one person wrote.
“OMG, this is so smart. Why didn’t I think about this,” another commented.
“So smart, thank you,” a third chimed in.
WATER WORKS
The hack comes after another mom wowed TikTok with a trick that transformed her children’s pool into a theme park.
Rheagan Mae (@rheaganmae) used her creativity to attach a water balloon to a hose at the side of the pool.
With water flying into the air before going into the swimming area, it made for a fun addition to the pool.
One parent called her a “freaking genius,” while another said it was “smart recycling” as they joined others in planning to copy the idea.
