Moment killer is arrested in his socks after stabbing love rival to death as he pushed toddler son in buggy

THIS is the moment a killer was arrested in his socks after stabbing a love rival to death as he pushed his toddler son in a buggy.

Maurice Jones, 25, confronted Tsvetomir Genov – also known as TG – in the middle of the street in front of the 20-year-old’s son.

Jones, who had recently moved to Salisbury, Wiltshire, to live with Tsvetomir’s former partner, then stabbed him multiple times.

The killer fled the scene and discarded the knife along with some of his clothing to evade police.

He could be seen in bodycam footage in just a pair of shorts, a vest and his socks as he was later arrested.

The killer remained calm throughout as he was handcuffed by armed officers at the side of the road.

Jones has now been jailed for life with a minimum of 30 years after being convicted of murder and possession of a bladed article.

Sentencing, Judge Timothy Mousley said he could not “detect any trace of genuine remorse” from Jones.

Winchester Crown Court heard Tsvetomir was walking with his 16-month-old son in a buggy when he was ambushed by Jones.

The monster rowed with his love rival over issues relating to his son and ex-partner before knifing him.

During the trial, Jones spun a web of lies claiming he only had the knife for his own protection and used it out of fear but jurors saw through the charade.

Following sentencing, Tsvetomir’s family said: “It is nearly one year since our first-born awesome boy was taken from us.

“It is nearly a year since his life was taken too soon. He was left with no chance to be saved and died tragically after this awful knife attack.

“His murderer has been found guilty and sentenced, but nothing can change the fact that TG is no longer here.

“He lives in our hearts and memories, but he is not here.

“Life is not the same without him. We thought the day we were told of his death was the hardest day of our lives, but it was even harder to see him lying in the coffin, to go to his funeral.

“There are no words to describe the feeling of seeing your child like this. To bury your child is not right. It is horrible and painful and it should not happen. Nothing is the same without him.

“We all loved him so much and we really hope that he knows that, and knows that we will all look after his little boy. We are so proud of him.”
