'House of the Dragon' Season 2 Ratings Soar to Record-Breaking Heights for Series
House of the Dragon‘s second season is seeing the Game of Thrones spinoff series soar to new heights!
The new season of the HBO Max series premiered on June 16, 2024, and is getting rave reviews. Better yet, the official streaming ratings have been revealed for its first week, and the numbers are very good.

According to Nielsen data from The Hollywood Reporter, the series was streamed for 1.23 billion minutes the week of the season premiere. That’s big growth from the first season’s high of 1.02 billion.
The numbers made House of the Dragon the fourth most-watched series that week, behind Bridgerton (2.47 billion minutes), Your Honor (1.95 billion minutes) and The Boys (1.29 billion minutes).
While it’s performing at its best on streaming, the outlet noted that the number doesn’t factor in the show being viewed on HBO. The show actually pulled record-setting numbers with overall viewing during its first season finale.
House of the Dragon has already been renewed for a third season. The second season will conclude on August 4, 2024.
