Police investigating after woman's body found in SE Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The Oklahoma City Police Department is investigating after a woman's body was found Thursday afternoon.

According to OKCPD, officers responded to a shooting near SE 44th St. and Shields Blvd. around 3:20 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of an adult female who appeared to have been shot to death.

Officials say it is unclear what led to the shooting and no arrests have been made. The incident happened at a busy time of day and investigators believe there may be witnesses they haven't spoken to.
