RCPD proudly announces first bust for K-9 officer
MANHATTAN (KSNT) - The Riley County Police Department (RCPD) took to social media to announce one of their K9 officers had made her first drug bust.
On Friday, the RCPD announced that K9 Kyra, the newest addition to the police department, had completed her first narcotics case on Wednesday. The RCPD said Kyra is a highly trained Belgian Malinois that specializes in tracking and narcotics detection. The RCPD said Kyra demonstrated exceptional performance.
"Kyra and her handler, Officer Umble, are prepared and eager to take on many more cases in the future. We are confident that Kyra will be a valuable asset to our team," the RCPD wrote on social media.
