Louisiana OMV encourages customers to reschedule due to CrowdStrike outage
(KTAL/KMSS) – A global networking outage is affecting the Louisiana Department of Motor Vehicles.
A news release from the Louisiana OMV said it is "experiencing varying degrees of outages" at its field offices statewide due to the global outage. At this time, OMV is encouraging customers who had appointments for Friday, July 19, to reschedule.
Customers are encouraged to use the OMV website, expresslane.org, for available online services. They should only visit the local field offices if absolutely necessary. The OMV has apologized for the inconvenience and said it is working to become fully operational.
