Republican rages over 'effeminate' men in meltdown over dancing mayor

Less than a month after Royce White erupted over a fake Taylor Swift endorsement, he melted down again Friday as he raged at Minnesota's mayor for dancing with constituents — and decried the country's "effeminate" men.

White, who has earned a reputation for posting trolling — and even threatening — on social media, has made a number of bizarre posts, including sharing a map that he claimed showed crimes in Minneapolis but was actually a map of free public drinking fountains in the city.

On Friday, the former NBA player and mixed martial artist ranted on X over a video that appears to show Democratic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey dancing in the street to "Cupid Shuffle" by Cupid. In the video, the man is wearing rolled-up jeans and a T-shirt.

The video ignited White, a pro-Trump conspiracy theorist, on X, who slammed Frey.

"Mayor of Minneapolis... We're about to have a talk down there in the city. These are your leaders? These are the men you're following? It's not enough we emasculate our sons and men, now you're following effeminate White liberal men too?"

White added: "In China this s--t is illegal. #Godspeed."

The post proved to be red meat for MAGA supporters who agreed with the candidate's assessment. While some called the video "embarrassing," others toed the line — or outright crossed it — with homophobic and otherwise inappropriate responses, such as that Frey "forgot his high heels."

"Where's his purse?" pondered @Jellyroll7916.

"Gross groomers," wrote @imalilr1774.

"The Mom Jeans Mayor has returned, Cringey’er than ever before," said @Natemplsmn.

Other comments waded even further into bigotry. Raw Story chose not to include those comments.

Defenders openly wondered why MAGA was so vehemently opposed to a dancing mayor.

"I don’t see anything wrong with dancing and having fun," wrote @AckTeacher. "He’s campaigning, at least he’s got some rhythm."

"Look at Royce admitting his bigotry," replied @urho_saint.
