Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl Bring Sophistication to the West Village in Pointed Flats and Loafers
Olivia Palermo and husband Johannes Huebl brought a coastal aesthetic to the West Village while out and about in the city on July 18. Palermo stepped out in pointed white flats while Huebl wore beige loafers.
Palermo opted for an all-white summertime ensemble, modeling a cropped tank with a flowing midi skirt. The shirt featured delicate spaghetti straps and large floral appliqués along the V-neck; the skirt included linear detailing along the bottom made of small circular cut-outs. The fashion influencer glamorized the outfit with a watch and a chunky gold chain link bracelet. She also carried a beige and white wicker purse, which contributed to the coastal energy of the outfit.
Meanwhile, Huebl appeared effortlessly sophisticated in a long sleeve button-down in a muted shade of seafoam green, contrasting a pair of tapered white pants.
Palermo unified her white monochrome outfit with a dainty pair of flats. The shoes included a pointed toe, enclosed back and a thin strap around the ankle offering additional security. The flats were affixed with pearl-like detailing, adding another element to the textured outfit. Huebl wore classic beige loafers, a neutral complement further elevating his polished look.
Formal flats like Palermo’s are known as the comfortable alternative to heels, typically keeping foot pain at bay for longer. The entirely enclosed silhouette also allows for secure movements while the sharp toe offers a timeless sense of elegance.
A longtime New Yorker, Palermo is well known for her presence in the fashion world and often shows off her taste in shoes. In April, she wore glossy black slingback pumps with sheer socks at Giambattista Valli’s bridal show. She attended the 2021 FN Achievement Awards to present the Emerging Talent of the Year Award to Titi Adesa, wearing rainbow stilettos for the event.
