Kendall Jenner Gleams in Slingback Pumps at Miley Cyrus’ Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid Party

Kendall Jenner was dressed in black from head to toe for a Gucci party hosted by Miley Cyrus in celebration of summer. Held at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles on July 18, the model and entrepreneur looked sharp in a pair of Gucci Signora slingback pumps.

Jenner, who recently starred in a Gucci campaign herself alongside Bad Bunny, came out to support Cyrus and the Italian brand at the flower-filled event. The 818 tequila founder smiled in front of a pool on top of which pink, white and yellow blooms floated. Her monochrome outfit included a backless scoop neck top with lace peeking out of the side. This piece blended seamlessly with a wrapped miniskirt subtly adorned with three buttons on one side. A thin Gucci belt was wrapped around her waist, bearing the letter G on the buckle.

Jenner tied the chic ensemble together with a pair of gleaming black slingbacks. The Gucci Signora pump gets its name from the central piazza of Florence, where Gucci was founded. The shoe stands out with its glossy patent leather finish and ankle strap featuring a hand-stitched gold chain and Gucci name. The slingback closure is elastic and the sole is made of leather; the heel measures 4.1 inches. The $1,150 shoe maintains the classic silhouette of a slingback pump, designed with clean lines that come to sharp point in front.

A slingback pump is a fixture of the fashion world, with many iterations of the style being produced over the years; a high heel elongates the leg while the ankle strap lends support and allows the foot more exposure to open air. The Signora pump is a distinctive option favored by many celebrities. Alicia Keys, for example, wore a red version of the shoe with a sequin-adorned gown when she attended the Tony Awards this year, where her show “Hell’s Kitchen” won two awards. The shoe is also offered in a version with a shorter heel measuring 1.7 inches, which Dakota Johnson wore in New York in June, also opting for the red hue.
